THUS DEFILED (ENGLAND)

Thus Defiled were originally formed in 1992 with the aim of creating some of the most intense and dynamic yet original black metal within the extreme music scene. Though many years of evolution the band have expanded their style of black metal as the band members grew as individuals, but still hold true to their original black metal roots whilst continuing to create their own style of metal. Worthing based Black Metal act THUS DEFILED was created in March 1992 by two former UNHOLY DEIFICATION members bassist Grant Saunders and guitarist Paul Carter. The duo soon added erstwhile BERSERKER drummer Nick Leggatt. and this line up released two demo tapes during 1993, namely 'Blasphemous Coven' in April and 'Enchanted By The Dark One' in August . Grant Saunders was later replaced by ex-FLESH bassist Sam Cottingham.
